Metahuman Kiosk Deployment

Deploy your virtual being to a Metahuman Kiosk installation using the configuration link from the Kiosk profile's Deployment tab.

The Deployment tab of a Metahuman Kiosk profile provides the configuration link needed to connect the Virbe Kiosk application (Unreal Engine-based) to this profile. Unlike the web widget, kiosk deployment requires installing and configuring the Virbe Kiosk app on dedicated hardware.

The Deployment tab displays a single Kiosk Configuration Link – there are no separate credentials to manage. Copy this link and paste it into the Virbe Kiosk application's configuration screen when setting up the device.

Kiosk Application Setup

The Virbe Kiosk application is a standalone Unreal Engine application that runs on Windows hardware. To set up a kiosk:

  1. Download the Virbe Kiosk application installer from https://download.virbe.ai/kiosk and install it on the target hardware (see Metahuman Kiosk hardware requirements)
  2. Launch the application and navigate to the configuration screen
  3. Copy the Kiosk Configuration Link from the profile's Deployment tab and paste it into the app's configuration screen
  4. Save the configuration – the kiosk will connect and load the virtual being

If Auto connect on configuration load is enabled in the profile's Settings tab, the kiosk will automatically connect to Virbe on startup and be ready to interact without further input.

Updating a Live Kiosk

Changes made in the Dashboard (Conversation Editor pipeline, Knowledge Base, Persona updates) take effect on the kiosk in real time (in the case of pipeline – once the version is published) – no need to update the kiosk application or reconfigure the device.

Profile settings changes (camera angle, UI customization, focus behavior) take effect on the next kiosk connection or app restart.

Multiple Kiosks, One Profile

Multiple physical kiosk devices can use the same Kiosk Configuration Link – they will all load the same configuration and behavior. If you need kiosks in different locations to behave differently (different language, different pipeline version, different focus timeout), create separate Kiosk profiles for each configuration.

Security Recommendation

Set a Security PIN in the profile's Settings tab to prevent unauthorized access to the kiosk configuration screen. This is strongly recommended for public installations.

See the Metahuman Kiosk hardware and software setup guide for full installation requirements and hardware recommendations.
