Maintenance
Temporarily suspend a profile without deleting it. Use maintenance mode during planned downtime or while making significant changes.
The Maintenance tab lets you temporarily disable a profile without deleting it. This is useful during planned downtime, large-scale updates, or when a deployment needs to be paused for any reason.
Suspended
Toggle Suspended to take the profile offline. When a profile is suspended:
- The embedded widget stops loading for Web Widget profiles – users visiting pages with the embed code see nothing
- The MetaHuman Kiosk app loses its active connection and cannot start new conversations
- All profile settings, the assigned Pipeline version, and the embed code are preserved exactly as-is
- No data is deleted
To re-enable the profile, toggle Suspended off. The widget or kiosk reconnects automatically using the same configuration.
Suspending a profile is immediate. If you need to make this change gradually (e.g. rolling it out to specific pages first), consider removing the embed code from your site instead, and leaving the profile active.
When to use Maintenance mode
Planned downtime – If you're migrating your website, updating the kiosk hardware, or performing other infrastructure work, suspend the profile rather than leaving users with a broken or unresponsive widget.
Major Pipeline changes – If you're rebuilding significant parts of your conversation logic and the current published version would give poor-quality responses during the transition, suspend the profile until the new version is ready to publish.
Decommissioning a profile – If you no longer need a profile but want to keep its configuration for reference or potential reuse, suspend it rather than delete it.
Suspended profiles still count toward your plan's profile limit. To fully remove a profile and free up that slot, delete it from the Profiles list (three-dot menu on the profile card). Deletion is permanent – the profile's configuration, embed code, and version history cannot be recovered.
