Web Widget Profile Settings

Configure the appearance, interaction behavior, and conversation lifecycle settings for a Web widget profile.

The Settings tab of a Web widget profile controls how the widget looks and behaves on your website – from the teaser message and branding to conversation lifecycle and available interaction tools.

Teaser

The teaser is the small text bubble displayed next to the collapsed widget to invite users to interact.

FieldDescription
Teaser messageShort text shown next to the widget when collapsed (e.g., "Hi! Need help?")

Keep the teaser short, friendly, and relevant to the page context. It is the first thing users see and should clearly signal what the virtual being can help with.

AI Disclaimer

When enabled, a brief disclosure message is shown to users indicating they are interacting with an AI assistant. This supports transparency requirements and helps set user expectations.

FieldDescription
AI DisclaimerToggle to show/hide the disclaimer. When on, the disclaimer text appears on the bottom of the widget.

Conversation Start Settings

Control when the conversation automatically starts (before the user explicitly opens the widget):

OptionDescription
Page focusedConversation starts when the page is in focus (the tab is active and the user is viewing it). More proactive – good for high-intent landing pages.
Widget focusedConversation starts when the widget is focused on. Less intrusive – better for general website pages.
Manual only (both options turned off)The virtual being does not auto-start; the user must click to open and begin the conversation.

Conversation Signals Settings

Signals are events fired at specific points in the conversation lifecycle. These are used in the Conversation Editor (Handlers and Route by Signal nodes) to drive logic:

SignalDescription
Start signalFires when a new conversation session begins. Used to trigger On conversation-start handler logic.
Interrupt signalFires when the user manually interrupts the virtual being's response (e.g., pressing the stop button mid-speech). Off by default. Enable only if your flows handle this event explicitly.
Stop signalFires when the conversation ends (session timeout, session reset, end conversation flow reached). Used to trigger On conversation-stop handler logic.

Conversation Settings on Page Refresh

Controls whether the conversation persists or resets when the page is reloaded:

OptionDescription
AlwaysA new conversation starts on every page load. Best for public or shared devices.
After [X] minutesThe conversation resets if the user has been inactive for longer than X minutes. Maximum: 720 minutes. Good for general website use.
NeverThe conversation persists across page refreshes indefinitely. Best for complex, multi-step interactions where continuity matters.
