Reject Language Change

Discards a pending STT-detected language change and keeps the conversation in its current language.

The Reject Language Change node discards a pending language change that was detected by the STT engine. The virtual being stays in its current active language – the new language is ignored.

Available in: Handlers and Conversation Flows.

When to Use

Use Reject Language Change in the On Language Change Handler when you want to restrict the virtual being to specific languages or prevent automatic language switching.

Example: Only allow English and Polish – reject all other detected languages:

On Language Change
    │
    └──► Route by Language
              ├── en-US ──► Accept Language Change ──► Continue Processing
              ├── pl-PL ──► Accept Language Change ──► Continue Processing
└── default ──► Reject Language Change ──► Continue Processing

Behavior

  • The pending language change is discarded
  • The conversation continues in the current active language
  • STT and TTS continue using the previously active language settings
