Language Nodes
Language nodes control the active language of the conversation – switching it programmatically or accepting/rejecting STT-detected language changes.
Handling Language Changes
These nodes show up in two different places for two different reasons: in Handlers, to accept or reject a language change detected automatically by STT; in Conversational Flows, to switch the language deliberately based on user choice or flow logic.
Nodes in This Category
| Node | Description |
|---|---|
| Change Language | Switch the active language programmatically |
| Accept Language Change | Commit a pending STT-detected language change |
| Reject Language Change | Discard a pending STT-detected language change and keep current |
Language Prerequisites
For language switching to work end-to-end, the target language must be:
- Supported by the configured STT engine (Configurations → Speech-to-Text)
- Supported by the configured TTS engine (Configurations → Text-to-Speech)
- Added to the Persona's voice list with a corresponding voice selection (Personas → Voices)
Without all three, the virtual being may not be able to listen to or speak in the switched language.
