UI Cards
Custom visual cards for menus, feature highlights, or any structured content.
The UI Cards node displays one or more visual card components to the user in the chat widget. Unlike Cards from Table (which pulls data from a data table) or Cards from Variable (which uses variable data), UI Cards displays content you define directly in the node configuration. Use it for menus, feature lists, category selectors, or any structured content that benefits from a visual card layout.
When to Use
- Menu / main options – Show the user a visual list of topics or services they can explore
- Feature highlights – Present key features or capabilities of a product
- Category selection – Let the user choose a category visually before diving into details
- Onboarding steps – Show a sequence of steps or information cards at the start of a conversation
Configuration
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Wait for user input | When enabled, the flow pauses after showing the cards until the user taps one (or replies) before continuing |
| Text response (optional) | Text shown alongside the cards, framing the choice (up to 500 characters). Supports Insert field to include dynamic values. |
| Cards | The set of cards to display. Click + Add card to add one – each card has an image and a title. |
Routing is built in
Like Quick Reply, UI Cards doesn't need a separate router node afterward. Each card gets its own output port directly on the node – connect each one to whatever should happen when that card is tapped. There's also a Not matched port, for replies that don't match any card.
