Cards from Variable
Displays cards sourced from a variable – useful when card content is generated dynamically by AI or populated by a previous node.
The Cards from Variable node displays visual cards whose content comes from a variable rather than a static definition or a data table. Use it when the cards to be shown are determined dynamically – for example, generated by a Tool Agent, returned by a webhook, or stored during an earlier step in the conversation.
When to Use
- AI-generated recommendations – A Tool Agent identifies relevant products or articles and stores them as structured data in a variable; this node then renders them as cards
- API response display – A
Call Webhooknode fetches data from an external API; the response is stored in a variable and then displayed as cards - Context-aware menus – Cards change based on user profile, previous responses, or session state stored in variables
Configuration
At a high level, you point the node at a variable holding the card data, optionally tell it where in that variable to look, and map its fields onto card fields:

| Send signal on click | Emits a workspace signal when a card is tapped (defaults to card-selected if left unset), optionally carrying a Value field from the source item as the signal's payload (defaults to the ID field) |
